Welcome

In this space you will access our catalogue specialized in the 19th century and Claretian themes.
You will find more information about the Claret Archive on the CESC website.

What you can find in our archive

The Claret Archive consists of an important library that includes part of the personal library of Fr. Claret and the volumes from the Parish Archive of Vic and the Claretian Secretariat in Rome, in addition to what comes from old communities and some Claretians. The archive itself consists of documentation about the Saint and the Claretian Congregation. We also have a notable collection of all types of materials and references about the Claretian Family.

Photographic catalog

The archive has an important photographic collection of Claretian themes. It features photographs of Claretian places, members of the Congregation, buildings and activities carried out in many places around the world.

Who are we?

We are a team of Claretian missionaries called to keep alive the memory of our Founding Father and our family origins, while we also want to facilitate vital processes so that the Spirit continues to inspire and update the evangelizing force of our missionary charism.

Mission

Our mission consists of preserving and increasing research on the person and spiritual heritage of Saint Anthony Mary Claret. We take care of our archive and our library, increasing and ordering them, in order to contextualize our charismatic origins.

Where are we?

We are in Vic, where on July 16, 1849, the first Mission House of the Missionaries Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary was born, formed by Father Claret and five companions, who shared his same spirit. The Claret Archive is located within the grounds of the former confiscated convent of La MercĂš.
